Sad Days

My heart is heavy this week. Last Wednesday, April 30th our friends Scott and Marya lost their two year old son Marley in an accidental drowning in our marina pool. This has been such a sad time for all of our marina extended family and friends. It's so hard to understand how God would allow this to happen to such a beautiful child. It's definitely one of those times to rely on faith. It has been especially difficult for me as I mourn for Marley and remember Justin. Two beautiful boys.

Marley Scott Kircher 3/11/06 - 4/30/08

Justin Michael Montgomery 10/7/84 - 6/23/90

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4

How beautiful Justin was. Deana, I love you so much, and I am so sorry you have experienced this and are reliving it now. Please know that I am ALWAYS here for you.

Thank you for the lovely photo of
Marley. I found your blog while looking for updates on the news stories.

Though I only met him once, he was
my boy too. I watched him grow through my brother's eyes.

Thank you for the picture of Marley. We lived across the street from him in Raleigh and lost the camera with most of the pictures we had of him. We wanted to send some to Marya and Scott. And we needed to see a picture of him. Thank you for letting us know the whole family has a support network down there. I am at if there is anything I can do. Our neighborhood loves them and is in shock and mourning depending on the person.

My heart is heavy and I know it is only a fraction of what Scott an Marya are feeling.

I am so lucy that I got to meet Marley and have a few moments with him.

I am thinking about you too.

Thank you for sharing your present and past life with me and I love the pictures of Marley and Justin. What beautiful boy's.

My butt is in Omaha but my heart is with you!

Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures with us. My heart is broken for you and for Marya...for all who have lost these little loves so young.
On a blue sky day on the water, I will remember and give thanks for these two blue-eyed baby boys...

Wishing you peace,

Thank you for everything you and Troy did to help support my family and most important thank you for being there for my sister! I love the pictures of the blond hair blue eyed boys. They were both so beautiful and greatly loved. When we wounder how we are going to make it through it gave us some comfort to see how you have made it through so thank you for sharing your past and your insight with us. Someday we will see our boys again! And I will see you guys again this summer!

My heart has just broken when I learned of the death of Marley. I remember holding him in my arms and sitting with him as he played at the school my daughter shared with his sister Kaiya. My fondest memories include Halloween when the family dressed as the Flintstones with Kaiya as Pebbles and Marley as little Bam Bam. He was an exceptional little boy and I was privileged to have watched him as he grew from infant to the little lovable guy he was. My heart is broken for the whole family and I wish there was a way we could hug them. I am overwhelmed by this news and I am thankful I came across this blog with the beautiful picture of the little Marley whom you could not help but, fall in love with.
